Many of us have the utmost admiration and respect for our military, and it’s understandable why given that their duty is to protect and defend our national interests, which requires them to voluntarily risk their lives in the process. The most patriotic people in our country may very well be those who serve in the military. Military personnel are brave and patriotic, but humility and compassion are frequently at the very core of who they are.
Army Lt. Col. Robert Risdon appears to be a fantastic example of what humility and compassion are really all about, and no, it is not always required to engage in hostilities abroad. It took place at a nearby Taco Bell restaurant.

He placed his order, received his meal, and then sat down to eat. He was then approached by two young boys.
