When Donna from St. Louis Stray Rescue discovered an abandoned house in the St. Louis, thought it would be the perfect shelter for scared and abandoned dogs.
Donna decides to explore the house a bit and soon finds little Pitty in need of help!

I thought it would be better to set the trap first and wait for the dog to come in on its own. But Donna noticed that little Pitty wasn’t coming out, so she went to the back of the house. And she was a little surprised by what she saw.
“There were footprints inside the house. So he went to the top of the stairs and jumped into the house,” Donna said.
Donna thought jumping off the broken stairs was a bit risky and started looking for a safe way out. They soon discovered they could enter the house through the basement and find the dog.
I didn’t think the pipe would break and I wouldn’t be able to hang on to it. Donna went up the stairs to look for him, but when she got to the second floor she saw no sign of the dog and began to despair.

Donna slowly approached him and gently told him that she was there to save him.
He allowed me to keep him on a leash. At first he hesitated a little, I dragged him a little, and he started following me and I got off.
A scared dog is hiding
After they left the house they went to the car and little Petey got excited and got in. When he was saved in St. Louis, this dog couldn’t contain his excitement.
An abandoned dog was rescued

When they arrived at the shelter, staff searched the dog for a microchip.

Soon after, a family contacted us and wanted this dog as a new member of their team.
Full of love and affection, this puppy turned her head upside down and is now the cutest and most adorable little girl.
