Tina Turner, a pioneer of rock ‘n’ roll who became well-known as a pop icon in the 1980s, died at the age of 83 after a protracted illness.
Her health had recently deteriorated; in 2016 she was diagnosed with intestinal cancer, and in 2017 she underwent kidney transplantation.
After years in the spotlight, Tina says her final goodbyes to her fans with “Simply The Best” among her 100 successes. On November 26, 1939, in NutBush, her parents, Floyd and Zelma Bullock, gave birth to her. They farmed as tenants.
