We’ve all seen the classic meme or joke about the father who doesn’t want to own a dog who becomes his best friend.

Most of the time they are really funny and true. What is the psychology behind this? It’s very difficult to say, but one thing is for sure. Dogs are good at making new friends. In this story, we talk about her father who didn’t want to adopt her dog from her shelter, but then he met her and “persuaded” her to adopt his own.

When Loki first contacted Abigail through a rescue organization in South Carolina, she felt truly sorry for him and wanted to do whatever she could to help him.

She decided to take him home and it was the best thing that could have happened to this wonderful dog. Abigail quickly found him to be a very kind and gentle person and introduced him to her son Leo, and they became friends.

She told The Dodo: If Leo is going outside, Loki is out there getting into stuff with him.

After some time, Abigail was just reluctant to give Loki away to some other family in South Carolina, and she wanted to adopt him.

Even though they already had two other dogs, Loki just fit in with them so well and he is so sweet that they didn’t want to be separated from him.

Loki’s And Leo’s Friendship

One person who was opposed to this idea was Leo’s dad. He said he didn’t want Loki, but it was obvious based on their interaction that the two liked each other.

After Abigail spent some time “convincing” her husband, they agreed to adopt Loki.

It was now time to make it official and buy him things like harnesses and a collar. The family let Leo choose on both, and they were happy with his choice.

She said: It was nice to see his love for Loki. As a mother, that made me feel proud.

Everything turned out well for this amazing dog, and he now has a wonderful family and two siblings he can play with.

The family, including the dad, just couldn’t be happier that they adopted him in the end and gave Loki an amazing life.

Abigail is particularly fond of Loki and Leo’s friendship, as she believes that it’s important for him while growing up. He really is a blessing for this family.
