Losing a dog is one of life’s most heartbreaking moments. Nothing can prepare you for this. You spend so much time thinking about whether you have what he needs and whether you are the right person for him. We can’t alleviate the pain in our hearts, but there are ways to ease it. One consolation for the McCraw family was that their new rescue dog was so happy to meet them.
Meet maggie
The McCraw family lost their beloved dog Bear to cancer and were devastated by the loss. While they were grieving, Maggie came into their lives and they knew they had to keep her
Along the way, the rescue arranged a gathering for them in South Carolina, and meeting them was a truly enriching experience. McCraw told The Dodo: “She melted my heart. We lost our second dog a few months before meeting Maggie, but for me it was just a meeting. At that time, I didn’t think I was ready for a new dog.

This was Demi (now Maggie) meeting her new dad for the very first time. It’s like they had known each other for years ❤️😍 this is why we foster. Mary and her husband, Mark, were immediately in love with this new dog. She showed all her charm on their first meeting and it really seemed like they were meant to be together.
The whole time, Maggie was just hugging her new human dad as a big thank you for saving her.
Maggie’s Story
The McCraws were shocked to learn that Maggie had been abused by her previous owners and that her only goal was to reproduce. When they ended their relationship with her, she was left alone. After being rescued, she spent time with Andra Mack in a nursing home, where she learned to trust people again.
“She turned out to be one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever had,” Mack said. The moment Maggie met her new father, my husband and I looked at each other. It was like a movie. But now it was time for her to move on to her forever home in South Carolina, and the McCraws were happy to adopt her.
Mac also noticed their connection. She said: They should be together. The sunlight reflected in the video leads me to believe that my former dog, Mishka, was looking down and smiling at this encounter.
At times like these, we would like to thank the wonderful people who have pledged to help and care for dogs who needed them. We wish them all the best in their new adventure.
