Following pictures of her sporting a jeweled eye patch, Tori Spelling has given an update on her health.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 stars, 49, explained how she had an ulcer in her left eye and needed the new accessory on the most recent episode of the 9021OMG podcast.
It’s my fault. Spelling admitted to co-host and former co-star Jennie Garth, “I did it to myself. “I wear contacts, but only every day. So, kids, whatever, I can come up with all the justifications I want at the end of the day. I leave them alone. You ought to make a change because it is unhealthy”.
She did not specifically state how long she wore her contacts before becoming infected, but she did say that she has “been known to go maybe 20 days”.
It’s not very cozy. I tell my ophthalmologist. As her cohost laughed, “What’s wrong with you? I’m completely honest,” she continued.
After what she’d done, Spelling claimed that her doctor had remarked that she was “lucky to get away with it.”.
“I got lucky this time,” she admitted. She continued, “Not going to take it for granted,” and said that after her eye healed, she would switch to monthly contact lenses.
According to Mount Sinai Medical officials, parasite infections or corneal ulcers are frequently brought on by bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Blurred or cloudy vision, bloodshot eyes, itching, light sensitivity, and itchy, watery eyes are all symptoms.
Eye drops are frequently used to reduce swelling and inflammation, though the underlying cause dictates the course of treatment.
Spelling initially revealed the eye problem in a March 24 Instagram Story post, explaining that her doctor had prescribed antibiotic drops.
She posted a picture of herself lying down with the caption, “Thx for all the well wishes and concern. Everyone is curious as to whether I scratched my cornea. My eye is genuinely infected with an ulcer. The doctor prescribed antibiotic drops and predicted that the wound would “ideally” heal in 7–10 days”.
