The Golden Retriever is said to be one of the friendliest dogs in the world.

I agree. They are very friendly with everyone, even strangers. If you like gold, it doesn’t matter if you are a family member, a friend or even an intruder. They are always friendly and kind.

No wonder the Virginia family didn’t realize their mistake. Another dog, although he rarely comes home with strangers, is Golden.

Apart from the family cat, no one has caught this friendly intruder. Cats smell everything, especially dogs they don’t know.

Dog shelters are a blessing. The best solution for dog owners who have to go to work and leave their dog at home. But these kindergartens can be a bit of a curse.

This is a rare experience for a Virginia family. But as they say: once is too much.

It was an ordinary day for Emmy, her golden retriever and her family. Every morning this adorable Golden Girl dog goes to kindergarten and she loves it. The quality time he spends with his canine friends is priceless. That day, Emmy’s family decided she needed a haircut and chose a daycare center to make their daughter look beautiful. Nothing special, right? Towards the end of the day, things started to get weird when the family’s son came to pick up Emmy. It looked weird, but everyone thought it was a new hairstyle. They get used to it.

But some families were quick to see what was wrong and said they would never agree to this change. The family cats sensed that it was not their beloved Emmy, the dog that everyone loved and kissed every day. Instead, the cats made it clear they didn’t like what was happening, attacking the new Emmy and hissing at her. When new Emmy starts licking her face (something old Emmy never did) and won’t even say hello to her beloved neighbor (something Emmy always does), it becomes clear to the family that their dog is not theirs.

To the vet! The microchip scan had to be done as quickly as possible!

The vet confirmed their suspicions. It wasn’t an Emmy. So I picked the wrong dog at preschool. I wonder… where is our beloved Emmy? Is there still a broken heart waiting for us?

The family rushed to the nursery and discovered they had two almost identical Goldens – Emmy and the new Emmy. It was a mistake that could happen to anyone.

Both dogs were returned to their rightful owners. And the real Emmy has finally come home.

Can you imagine the worried look on her face when her son walks in and gets another dog instead? The poor girl was clearly confused and very sad.

Fortunately, both dogs lost their teeth. If you’re still unsure if your dog should be microchipped, this is the sign you’ve been waiting for. Up to 50% of microchipped dogs are returned to their families. Imagine how small that number would be if microchips didn’t prove how useful they could be. The number of broken hearts and lost dogs would be too many. Microchips don’t cost much. Some vet clinics offer up to $20. If you want a dog, you can take Andrew Jackson out of your wallet.
