From her breakthrough role in Married… with Children to her most recent, critically acclaimed performance in the Netflix series Dead to Me, Christina Applegate has been a well-liked TV personality for decades. Applegate recently revealed that she had recently been diagnosed with MS, and that as a result, she would probably no longer be able to perform on camera.

While filming the final season of Dead to Me in 2021, the actress made her diagnosis public. It was difficult to continue filming because of her health issues.
The Anchorman actress spoke candidly about her MS struggles in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, claiming that it has affected her balance and made day-to-day living challenging. She told Vanity Fair that having MS makes for “never a good day.”. You can no longer carry things or descend stairs. It is absolutely awful. ”.
Applegate made a hint that the Netflix series Dead to Me would be her final appearance on camera because her MS made the long hours of filming too challenging.
She praised her Dead to Me co-star Linda Cardellini for the role.
According to Applegate, she probably won’t do any more work for cameras.
She continued, “I can’t even imagine going to set right now.”. “This is a disease that worsens over time. I’m not sure if my condition will worsen. Due to the necessity of providing for my family and maintaining my mental health, I am able to do voiceover work. ”.

Finding my capabilities is important, Applegate said. “I’m still so new to this. It takes time to sort out this disease and identify the triggers for the symptoms. I’m just getting started in all of this. ”.
