Romanian Adriana Iliescu made headlines around the world when she gave birth at age 66. Many questioned Adriana’s choice and whether it was truly altruistic, but she was finally content with having her child.

In 2005, Eliza was born, and word of her arrival quickly spread around the world. Adriana proved that there is always time to pursue your goals and that anything is possible with the support of those around you in spite of criticism for her advanced age.

Her story gives hope to people who have been told they are too old to do something by showing that goals can be attained at any age.

In 2010, Eliza’s mother came clean about all the insults she endured when she was just five years old. Regardless of what people thought of her appearance, she exuded confidence as she said that she still felt young and vibrant.

She reasoned that she wouldn’t have to worry about other people’s opinions if she could compete with women half her age in terms of health and vitality.

The fact that Eliza was in her life made it simpler than ever for her to stay young, despite some people’s attempts to make light of the situation by calling her a grandmother.

When Adriana revealed her desire for a second child at age 71, she made headlines. Although many people would consider this to be an impossible feat, modern medicine has made it possible. Because a 70-year-old woman in England is already undergoing fertility treatment, Adriana is confident that it is possible.

Eliza, Adriana’s daughter, could not be more pleased with her mother’s ambition and does not find her parents’ advanced age to be unusual.

After all, even if Adriana lives as long as her parents did thanks to her healthy lifestyle choices, such as not drinking or smoking, Eliza can still anticipate spending a lot of time with her mother.

When Adriana was young, she lost her spouse and child, which had a profound impact on her life. After that, she focused exclusively on her career, eventually rising to the position of professor at a university in Bucharest.

Her friends and family thought she was crazy when she decided to have a child in her late thirties, primarily because there were no IVF procedures available at the time. Adriana received help from Dr. Bogdan Marinescu in order to conceive triplets.

Two of the children tragically passed away, but Eliza was born healthy and is now 17 years old. Eliza, who is a good student, has a similar academic record to her mother.

Adriana, Eliza’s mother, wanted her to be baptized as a young child. Sadly, the nuns rejected the idea and even claimed that the girl was a creation of evil forces. Adriana insisted, however, that God had given her daughter to her as a gift.

Adriana is currently 83 years old and writes children’s books in addition to working part-time as a lecturer. She made a deal with the IVF surgeon that in the event of her passing, he would take custody of Eliza.
