Students get to interact with new people and experience a variety of classes at school. Unfortunately, some kids are targeted by bullies because they struggle to learn social skills and lack friends.
The son of Cassandra Ridder, 12-year-old Brody, has been the victim of bullying at the hands of other children. Unlike his peers, Brody is a content young man who prefers playing chess and fencing games.
This, however, was not the reason why he was being ridiculed.
The teacher had told Cassandra that the students would be bringing their yearbooks home, so when she picked her son up from school one day, she inquired about his yearbook.
Brody suddenly felt tears welling up in his eyes. Other than the annotations made by his teachers, there was nothing else written on it. Brody asked each of his students to write him a note, but they all said no.
“Hope you make some more friends – Brody Ridder,” the note from Brody to the recipient read. “.
Cassandra posted a picture of his yearbook along with other parents on a Facebook page for parents from Brody’s school.
You poor kid. Nothing is getting better. In his yearbook, there were two teachers and two student entries. She wrote on the Facebook page, “Despite Brody asking numerous kids from various backgrounds to sign it. Brody decided to write a letter to his future self to communicate. “With my broken heart, I can’t handle it. Your children should learn compassion. “.
The following day, while at school, Brody called his mother and asked her to post a photo he had sent her on Facebook. Comments from his friends and students in the eighth and eleventh grades had filled his yearbook.
One of the notes read: “Hey, buddy, you are really great.”. “Continue doing it. “.
You are the cutest young man in the entire world, Brody, I tell you. You have incomprehensible love. Young people’s opinions should not be heeded because they are false. “.
“Brody, you are significant and deserving of respect. I send you my best wishes for a wonderful summer. “.
Hey dude, don’t ever alter and keep your head up. “.
Brody is glad he could meet so many new people and is looking forward to the upcoming school year.
