Legendary TV actor Dick Van Dyke reportedly suffered injuries when he lost control and crashed his Lexus in Malibu.
The 97-year-old actor’s car slipped on the morning of March 22 due to rain before colliding with a gate.
The trauma left him with a bloodied mouth and nose and a possible concussion.
When officers arrived, they discovered the veteran of Hollywood driving his Lexus LS 500.
He was attended to on the spot by paramedics.
Van Dyke was reportedly not taken to the hospital but instead picked up by a friend and driven home.
The “Mary Poppins” star’s driving test is reportedly being retaken after police reportedly sent paperwork to the DMV.
Last year, the 97-year-old actor was seen exiting Van Dyke’s car, which had skidded in the rain before hitting a gate.
Police officials reportedly told the outlet that the incident was unrelated to drugs or alcohol.
We’ve reached out to the actor’s agents for comment.
When Van Dyke was pulled from a burning Jaguar in Los Angeles ten years ago, he was involved in another collision.
The actor was removed from the car while still burning on the highway.
The incident occurred almost ten years to the day after the one in which Van Dyke was involved, as seen in the picture above.
Then, he recalled, “It simply started making a noise at first, and I assumed I had a flat, then it started smoking, and then it burned to a char.”.
Because “a fireman, a nurse, and a cop happened to be passing by,” according to Van Dyke, he managed to flee unharmed. I have a guardian angel”.
