Amy Roloff rose to fame on Little People, Big World, but things have changed in her family since then, as she divorced her ex-husband and remarried Chris Marek.
Amy was able to share their daily life on the show ‘Little People, Big World,’ but also to influence many people’s perceptions of dwarfism. Unfortunately, people with this medical condition are discriminated against and mocked by others, even though people with dwarfism can live regular lives and should not be stigmatised. Amy and her family attempted to prove these claims, and I believe they were successful.
Amy first met Matt Roloff in 1987 while attending an LPA conference. The two hit it off immediately and proceeded to converse on the phone daily, even though Sarah lived in Michigan and Matt in California. All of these conversations led to a long-distance relationship. They only met a few times in person before recognising they were in love. Matt proposed to her while visiting Yosemite National Park.
Amy stated that the two were on the edge of a precipice, and Matt became irritated. Amy suspected something was wrong and expected Matt to tell her something terrible, but she didn’t know what. Amy was astonished and began to cry when he proposed to her, but the answer was undoubted YES.
Matt and Amy have four exceptional children and purchased their Oregon farm together. Amy demonstrated throughout filming that caring for a family and working simultaneously is feasible. She also participated in various school activities and formed the Amy Roloff Charity Foundation.
Amy has evolved into a lovely mother, TV personality, and wife. Amy’s divorce occurred in 2016. Matt and Amy have concluded that they can no longer form a family. Amy stated that following her divorce, the production team urged her to go on dates and meet new men, but she did not feel ready.
Amy also decided to sell her share of the farm and relocate. Amy remarried not long after and is now happily married to Chris Marek.
Amy and Chris didn’t fall in love at first sight, but after a few dates, they decided to give it a shot. They are eventually married.
Chris Marek is the owner of the real estate agency Keller Williams. Chris has also been on television with Amy on various occasions.
We hope Amy and Chris have a joyful marriage and that they will be able to accomplish a lot together.
