Daniel Radcliffe, a Harry Potter actor, and his longtime partner Erin Darke are expecting their first child. On Friday, March 24, Erin was photographed while out with her boyfriend in New York City.
Erin, 38, wore a black zipped hoodie with leggings and a peacoat, while Daniel, 33, could be seen wearing a navy puffer jacket and staying warm with a bright blue and yellow hat.
Daniel’s representatives confirmed the information.
Erin Darke and Daniel first connected on the set of Kill Your Darlings in 2013 and been dating ever since. Their chemistry was even more palpable off-screen than when they were playing love interests. As an actress, Erin has appeared in several films, including Moonshine, Still, Alice, Beside Still Waters, Thank You for Your Service, and Good Girls Revolt.
Although they are notoriously private about their relationship, they have frequently worked together and supported each other’s projects.
We like working together, but we want to do it only some of the time, he said of their on-screen interactions. He added that working with her on Miracle Workers last year was particularly special and enjoyable.
“Hopefully, we’ll be able to work together more in the future, but since we both write, we may write something cool together at some point”.
Daniel is the second member of the Harry Potter trio—the others being Rupert Grint and Emma Watson—to have a child.
In May 2020, Georgia Groom, Rupert’s partner, gave birth to a girl.
During their video call conversation on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, Daniel said he had texted Rupert to share the good news. “I texted him the other day and expressed my happiness for him and how cool it is,” he said. I find it extremely strange that we are all approaching the point of having children, but that is undoubtedly the case”.
