Haley Joel Osment made his film debut as the little infant in “The Sixth Sense” in 1999. He was 11 years old when he played the young boy who could “see dead people” in the thriller starring Bruce Willis.
So, what has this budding actor, whose breakout role was in “Forrest Gump,” been up to for the past eight to 10 years?
Following “The Sixth Sense,” Osment co-starred in the 2001 film “A.I. Artificial Intelligence” with Jude Law, one of the world’s top actors at the time, which showcased his attractive youthful looks.
After that, he began working as a voice actor for computer games such as “Kingdom Hearts,” as well as appearing in films such as “The Country Bears,” among others.
Despite his early success, Osment has grown tired of the attention he received as a child star, claiming it, according to the Calgary Herald.
“It takes some time as a youngster before people begin to link you with things.
It’s difficult, but I’ve recently had the good fortune to work on a range of projects all around the country,” he stated this week in an interview with the newspaper.
In light of this, Osment, who plays a young heroin addict in “American Buffalo,” made a brief Broadway debut in 2008.
He returned to the big screen, in 2010, with “Montana Amazon,” starring Alison Brie from “Community” and “Mad Men.” Osment, now in his twenties, comes from a family who grew up in the woods and must learn to adapt to contemporary life in the film.
Meanwhile, in 2011, the young actor graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Osment costarred in “I’ll Follow You Down,” a thriller about a lost young scientist, with “X-Files” actor Gillian Anderson in 2013.
Osment is finally here, with flicks like “Tusk,” “Sex Ed,” the “Entourage” feature, and “Yoga Hosers” all due out this year or next.
Hollywood has an extraordinary ability to make time appear to stop.
But remember that the picture was released in 1999, more than two decades ago.
The film will always be relevant. Unfortunately, time is running out for everyone. Take a look at the following.
Pictures can capture time, but they just give us a snapshot of what life was like back then. Even when you’re watching a movie, time passes.
Osment appeared in the acclaimed film at the age of 11. He is no longer a tiny boy because he is 29 years old. If you run into him at the grocery store, you probably wouldn’t recognise him.
Despite his maturity, he still has those beautiful eyes. He now has a moustache and has gained some weight.
