It is always nice to keep in mind that occasionally, strangers can be helpful. Eliana Martin was going about her normal day of shopping at Ralphs when she saw a stranger. Reading a story about kindness towards strangers really helps restore your faith in humanity. She realized she had forgotten her wallet as she was walking home from the Chula Vista grocery store.

She panicked and immediately cancelled her credit cards, as everyone advises you to do if you lose your wallet. When she realized she had left her bag in the shopping card she had used while at the store, she canceled her cards.

The majority of @nbcsandiego stories with Ring videos are subpar. This is the GOOD NEWS that we are all in need of. 4:30 and 6:00 on NBC7. Joe Little (@LittleJoeTV), June 27, 2022. http://t.co/okRboAK4CI.

Fortunately for her though, whoever found her bag did so with good intentions. Adrian Rodriguez didn’t give the bag a second thought when he saw it.

My initial thought was to return it. I was debating whether I should bring it to her or take it back to the store, so I just brought it,” he said. Instead of giving the bag to the shop, he made the decision to give it directly to Martin. She had left her address in her bag, so he looked it up and went to her house. He rang the doorbell, gave one of her relatives Martin’s bag, and then walked away. Martin later recalled being startled to see Adrian in the ring video arrive at her door with her bag in hand, ready to give it back to its rightful owner.

Martin’s friend Melina Marquez was moved by his candor and said, “We should find him so we can show him a little respect. Both women went to Rodriguez to express their gratitude. Marquez told him, “As soon as I saw his deeds, I was like, ‘I hope my son grows up to be just like him.'”. I’m just glad he kept the morals his parents instilled in him. “Adrian was taken aback by their appreciation and admitted that he had not really anticipated anything in return. I honestly didn’t expect anything back, he said. Recently, I returned her bag. The women are currently setting up a GoFundMe fundraiser to raise cash to honor the young man’s good deeds. They set out to raise $1000, but ended up raising more than twice that amount!
