Nelson reached a significant life milestone on April 29 when he turned 90, and he celebrated with a birthday party unlike any other. Numerous musical legends from both yesterday and today gathered over the weekend for a two-night concert celebration of Willie Nelson’s life and work.

Willie Nelson celebrations took place from April 29 to 30 at LA’s renowned Hollywood Bowl amphitheater, which was packed with a wide range of performers. The artists performing over the course of the weekend included Neil Young, Kris Kristofferson, Dave Matthews, Keith Richards, Lyle Lovett, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton, Rosanne Cash, Snoop Dogg, Ziggy Marley, Beck, Sheryl Crow, The Lumineers, The Chicks, Norah Jones, Tom Jones, Leon Bridges, and Nelson’s sons Lukas and Micah.

Willie Nelson jokingly told the crowd, “I want to thank all the artists who came out tonight to help celebrate whatever it is we’re celebrating.”. Over the course of the two nights of the event, the all-star lineup covered many of Willie Nelson’s most popular songs, and at the conclusion of both nights, the 90-year-old legend took the stage to perform his own hits.

On his birthday on Saturday, Nelson played a set that included a duet of “Are There Any More Real Cowboys?” with Neil Young and “Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die” with Snoop Dogg. He also played his well-known song “On the Road Again” and joined the show’s performers in singing “Will the Circle Be Unbroken? / I’ll Fly Away.”.

Willie Nelson is starting a new tour this year and is still going strong at 90. Last year, he released his 72nd studio album, A Beautiful Time, for which he received the Grammy Award for Best Country Album. He is a candidate for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame right now.

We’re happy that Willie Nelson, who is 90 years old, is still going strong because he is one of music’s living legends.
