“Elvira” Cassandra Peterson sold Brad Pitt the house in 1994, and he later purchased it. She recently spoke with People about another unexpected role that Pitt played in addition to becoming a new homeowner.
For a 1.9-acre property in 1994, 54-year-old Brad Pitt paid Elvira Cassandra Peterson $1.7 million. Before selling it this past March, he held onto the property for 30 years.
Recently, Peterson granted People an exclusive interview in which she spoke about her sale to the Oscar winner, their close proximity, and Pitt’s unexpected tenant.
The actress alleges that Pitt’s expansion of the house was the impetus for the subsequent activities.
“I figure there were about 22 houses close to the property’s boundary. And he bought one whenever one became available,” the actress said.
One of those residences belonged to a 90-year-old man. Pitt reached an agreement to buy the man’s homestead on the family estate.
He was extremely kind to the husband. Peterson claims that John, the husband, remained there after his wife passed away. “I know Brad allowed him to reside there for free up until his death. ”.
But the man lingered a little longer than he had anticipated: “It was kind of funny because John lived to be 105. ”.
The actress laughed, saying, “I imagine Brad was thinking, well, you know, he can live there till he dies, which might be any minute now. John just kept living forever. ”.
After buying a house close to her previous residence, Peterson spent many years residing next to Pitt. He was described by her as kind and generous. She gave an example of a specific time when she ran into Pitt while walking her dog:.
I see Brad only wearing sweatpants as I pass by his garage. He’s using a punching bag and boxing gloves. My word, I nearly fainted. ”.
“I can still recall him asking, “Hey, how are you?,” to which I uttered, “Huh. I was speechless. I started to turn red. I thought I was going to faint,” she claims. And to top it all off, he’s really, really nice. He’s just so breathtakingly handsome. ”.
Pitt and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie and their children spent several years residing in the recently sold home prior to their 2016 divorce.
