The Rev. John Taylor, the Archbishop of Los Angeles, baptized Princess Lilibet Diana on Friday, March 3, according to a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Charles became king in September after Queen Elizabeth II’s passing. Archie, age 3, and Lilibet, age 1, were given the titles of prince and princess by the monarch. People claim that because of regulations established by King George V in 1917, this took place. The royal snub comes after Prince Harry stated in January that he wanted his kids to have a deep connection with his family.

At the time, Harry said, “I’ve said before that I’ve wanted a family, not an institution—so of course, I would love nothing more than for our children to have relationships with members of my family, and they do with some, which brings me great joy.

Unfortunately, Harry has expressed his skepticism about his kids and their ties to the royal family. In a virtual event for his best-selling memoir, Spare, the Duke admitted that he is “feeling more and more distant” from his family in the UK.

According to reports, Charles gave his disgraced brother, Prince Andrew, who has ties to the criminal Jeffrey Epstein, the house, leading to the decision to evict the couple from Frogmore. King Charles has extended an invitation to Harry and Meghan to attend his coronation, which is scheduled for May 6. Although the couple’s invitation to the ceremony has been made public, a spokesperson for the couple said “an immediate decision” on whether they’ll attend will “not be disclosed” at this time.
